This explains what information ReplayClip, a delayed-replay camera for practice (dance, golf, the gym and more), handles and how. ReplayClip does not collect your personal information and does not send it anywhere.
Information we collect
The app does not send any of your information to the developer or to any third-party server. There is no account to create.
Camera and microphone
The camera and microphone are used to play your video and sound back on the screen with a delay of a few seconds to a few minutes.
Only when you turn on "Keep me in frame" in Settings (it is off by default), the app finds people in the recorded video on the review screen and zooms the view toward them. This is done only on your device. The results are not saved and are not sent anywhere.
Recorded video and sound are kept in a temporary area on your device that only the app uses. The oldest parts are deleted automatically, and anything left over is deleted the next time you open the app. Video and sound never leave your device.
You can withdraw camera and microphone access at any time in the iPhone or iPad Settings app.
Motion sensor (tilt)
The app uses your device's tilt to decide the screen orientation on iPhone and to show the "Level line" from Settings. It is used only on your device and is never saved or sent anywhere.
Photo library
The app saves a video clip to Photos only when you tap "Save". It only asks for permission to add to your photo library. It does not read your photos or videos.
Settings
Settings such as the delay length are stored only on your device. They are not sent off your device and are removed when you delete the app.
On-device server
To play video, the app uses a server that runs only inside your device (a local server on 127.0.0.1). It does not connect to the internet or to other devices.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app does not use analytics tools, advertising, or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Purchases (ReplayClip Pro)
(From version 1.1. Version 1.0 has no in-app purchases.)
Monthly and lifetime purchases, restoring purchases and redeeming codes are processed by Apple (the App Store). The app and the developer never receive your payment details (such as card numbers) or your Apple Account information.
Whether you can use the app is checked only from the App Store purchase records on your device. The app does not send any information to the developer's servers for this check.
Cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple. You can cancel the monthly plan in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Children
Because the app does not collect information, it does not collect information from children.
What the developer receives
The developer does not receive your name, your email address, your video, or your sound.
The only exception is what you choose to send through the feedback form below. It goes through Google Forms, and only what you write reaches the developer. It is used only to answer you and to improve the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above will be revised.
